Arsenal look as though they will have to shell out at least £38m if they want to land Juventus striker Alvaro Morata this summer.
The Spanish international has already been the subject of a £28m bid by the Gunners, according to reports, but that will not be enough.
Real Madrid have a buy-back clause set at £25m and they look certain to enforce that and then sell him on for a big profit.
Arsenal are favourites to land him but Premier League rivals Manchester United, Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea are all said to be interested and Juventus would also like to keep him after two successful years in Turin.
The Gunners desire will be tested though as they will need to shell out big money to buy him and then follow that up with a massive wage offer.
