Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United’s hopes of signing Edinson Cavani have received a blow after his agent insisted his client will stay at Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The Uruguayan had been linked with a a mega-money switch to the Premier League after three seasons playing as PSG’s secondary front-man behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
But now Ibrahimovic has left, Cavani is being tipped to take up the mantle as the French side’s main man up front and his agent, Claudio Anellucci, played down any possibility of a transfer this summer.
“I don’t think there’s a chance,” he told Radio Crc.
“After the departure of Ibrahimovic, the club wants to keep what they organially have, then strengthen to target the Champions League.
“PSG can’t get rid of both strikers.”
