Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United are set to lose out on signing Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports in Spain.
The Gabon striker, who hit an incredible 36 goals for the German side last season, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bundesliga this summer with heavyweight clubs across Europe eager to land him.
However, according to AS, Dortmund are preparing a new contract for the 27-year-old and are determined to keep hold of him for at least another year having already lost star duo Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan.
Aubameyang’s contract is set to be extended until 2020, with a significant pay rise also included in the offer.
Dortmund had braced themselves for a plethora of bids from Premier League clubs, as well as Atletico, but it now appears they have secured the in-form striker’s services for at least another season.
