Antonio Conte wants two or three new strikers with Liverpool’s Christian Benteke a target

The Italian is set to move away from the 4-3-3 formation that the Blues have often deployed over previous seasons.

The Times report that Conte wants to regularly play with two strikers and two wingers next season and therefore Chelsea’s transfer activity will focus on boosting their forward options.

It is claimed the new Chelsea boss is expected to vary between 4-4-2 and 3-3-4, which Italy deployed so successfully against Belgium on Monday, formations at Stamford Bridge.

Diego Costa’s future at the club remains uncertain with former club Atletico Madrid keen on re-signing him while Radamel Falcao and Alexandre Pato are not returning after failed loan spells.
