Alvaro Morata rules out return to Juventus: ‘It’s unthinkable!’

Arsenal and Chelsea target Alvaro Morata says it is ‘unthinkable’ that he will return to Juventus in January.

The striker left the Italian champions for Real Madrid in the summer after the Spanish club activated their £23.6million buy-back clause.

But, since returning to the Bernabeu, the Spain international has struggled and, as well as move to the Premier League, there has been talk he could head back to Turin in January.

Morata, however, has now dismissed such talk and revealed that any discussions over a potential comeback have no substance.

“Me going back to Juventus in January? It’s the first time I’ve heard something like that,” Morata told Gazetta dello Sport.

“It’s unthinkable. I’m at Madrid. That said, it is clear that I hope Juve always wins and always will do. But I do not think I can return.

“It is a great feeling to be back – I really want to play in Turin and if I have a spare minute to spend it in the city.

“It is my second home, I found love there and Italy is always in my thoughts. At home with my girlfriend we speak Italian.”
