Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli will play no further part in Spurs’ Premier League campiagn after being issued a three-match ban.
The England international has been issued the suspension for punching Claudio Yacob in Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with West Brom on Monday night.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino will have been hoping Alli would play at least some role before the end of the campaign but the 20-year-old will now have to watch from the sidelines, following the ruling on Thursday evening.
The silver lining for England manager Roy Hodgson is that Alli should be fresh and 100 per cent fit for the start of the European Championships in June.
