The FA have charged Alli for allegedly punching the West Bromwich Albion midfielder on Monday night after TV cameras caught the incident in Monday’s 0-0 draw between the two sides.

It is thought the recently-crowned PFA Young Player of the Year will be given a three-match suspension but, according to The Times, the England international plans to use testimony from Baggies midfielder Yacob in a hearing.

It is claimed Yacob said to team-mates that Alli ‘barely touched him’ and Alli reportedly hopes he can use this evidence to his advantage to only be banned for two games, rather than three.
