The Foxes are seven points ahead at the top of the table and could go 10 points clear on Sunday before Spurs take on Manchester United in the 4pm game.

Allardyce needs his side to start winning games if they are to have any chance of escaping the drop and he wants them to upset the odds on Sunday by beating the Foxes.

“I was complaining about a lack of draws a while ago, but now we’ve got too many and not enough wins,” Allardyce told the Echo.

“I want to beat Leicester. I want us to start the platform, not when we get to Norwich and say this is a ‘must-win’ game.

“We’re gaining points, but not enough.

“Let’s go and beat Leicester and upset the apple cart.”
