Sunderland target James Tomkins is reportedly keen to quit current club West Ham in search of a regular starting spot.
Manager Sam Allardyce is understood to be working on a deal to snare Diafra Sakho from his former employers and he may be about to make a double raid on West Ham.
Tomkins, 27, has spent the entirety of his career with the east London outfit aside from a brief spell on loan at Derby County but The Sun say he is ready to move on.
The centre-half struggled to cement a regular spot in Slaven Bilic’s side last term and may be open to a reunion with Allardyce.
Allardyce is eager to bolster his defensive options and was linked with Tomkins at the end of the season, and he may now firm up his interest with a bid amid claims the defender is open to a transfer.
