What Sigurdsson says he does know is how Alan Curtis has helped mastermind two wins in two games while manager Francesco Guidolin is in hospital undergoing treatment for a chest infection.
He said: “He commands massive respect. The boys all call him the legend, and there is a reason for that.
“He has been at the club for so many years, has huge experience, and it is good to have someone who knows the place inside out and understands what it means not just for the club but for the people who live here.
“He knows how to handle players.
“He is quite relaxed, but when he needs to shout he will. He did in the warm-up at Arsenal last week which was a bit sloppy from us. He got us going in that game and it kept on here – all the boys look up to him.”
