West Brom defender Kyle Howkins has joined League Two outfit Mansfield Town on a six-month loan deal.
Howkins, 20, has yet to make a senior appearance for Albion and has joined Mansfield in order to gain some first-team experience.
The defender did manage eight appearance for non-league Kidderminster last season and Mansfield boss Adam Murray is delighted to have landed the Baggies youngster.
“I can’t wait to work with him,” Murray told the club’s website.
“He has the physical attributes, tremendous speed and the background of being at a Premier League club to be effective in League Two.”
Albion boss Tony Pulis has stated he is keen to make use of the Albion academy in the coming campaign and he may hand Howkins some game time with Albion when he returns from his loan stint.
