West Brom have been linked with free agent defender Martin Caceres but they face competition from a host of Premier League rivals.
Albion boss Tony Pulis has made no secret of the fact he wasn’t completely satisfied with the club’s summer transfer business and reports indicate the Baggies have been in contact with Caceres.
The Uruguayan defender, 29, is out of contract after leaving Juventus at the end of last season and is understood to be open to a Premier League move.
However, Albion face competition for Caceres and the fact they are in the middle of a takeover could complicate matters further.
Chelsea have also been linked with the former Barcelona and Sevilla man, as manager Antonio Conte worked with him at Juve, while Southampton, Sunderland and Swansea have also been credited with an interest.
