West Bromwich Albion are set to confirm the signing of Watford right-back Allan Nyom after the two clubs agreed a £3million fee.

The 28-year-old Cameroon international has agreed personal terms and should complete the move before the transfer deadline.

Nyom made 32 Premier League appearances under former Watford head coach Quique Sanchez Flores last season.

But the Hornets’ new chief Walter Mazzarri favours three at the back in a system not suited to the defender.

The former Granada star will become Albion’s fourth signing of the summer after Matt Phillips, Brendan Galloway and Nacer Chadli.

Nyom, who joined Watford on a free transfer last summer, will provide competition for Craig Dawson after Cristian Gamboa joined Celtic on Tuesday.
