West Brom could allow Saido Berahino to join Watford this summer in a deal which could take Odion Ighalo to the Hawthorns in exchange.
It was reported on Tuesday that Watford were planning to offload striker Ighalo as the club line up a bid for Baggies’ star Berahino.
Ighalo enjoyed his first campaign in the Premier League, as he fired home 14 goals to play a huge role in helping the Hornets steer well clear of a relegation battle.
However, the Nigeria internationalÂ’s exploits have attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, and so Watford are resigned to losing their man.
ItÂ’s understood that the Vicarage Road outfit already have a contingency plan and will look to poach Berahino from Albion.
But with Baggies boss Tony Pulis looking to add strength to his forward line he could attempt to strike a deal which would see Ighalo move to the Hawthorns if Berahino was to depart to Vicarage Road.
The main obstacle to a deal being struck is both players would possibly prefer a move to clubs higher up the Premier League ladder.
Berahino has seemingly favoured a move to Tottenham, while Ighalo would no doubt view a move to the Hawthorns as more of a sideways step in his career.
