West Brom boss Tony Pulis says Saido Berahino remains his side’s penalty taker despite two misses against Watford.
Berahino missed two penalties in the home defeat by Watford last time out but Pulis has backed the forward to make the most of his next opportunity from the spot.
Albion travel to Arsenal on Thursday and Pulis says if his side wins another penalty and Berahino is on the pitch he will be handed the responsibility.
“He missed two penalties,” Pulis told reporters. “Everybody does it. The boy wanted to pick the second one up and take that one and he has missed that one.
“He will pick the next one up and take that as well and hopefully he will smash it into the back of the net.
“It’s all character-building for him. He is a tremendous player. This year has been very much a rollercoaster season for him and things have happened to him that have never happened in his career before, but you dust yourself down and move on.
“The kid has been in there and the chances he has missed mean he will get stronger, but he won’t stop going in there. He is that type of character.”
