West Brom hope to have injured trio Craig Dawson, Callum McManaman and Jonny Evans all back for Saturday’s clash with Norwich.
Defender Dawson has been struggling with a foot injury, Evans a hamstring problem and winger Callum McManaman an ankle injury, but all three have made good progress over the blank weekend and are expected to train in the build-up to the clash with the Canaries.
Club doctor Mark Gillett told the Birmingham Mail: “We are optimistic all three will be in contention by the time the Norwich game comes around.
“Callum has been out the longest of this trio but he has already returned to a level of training. I am hopeful he should be able to step that up next week.”
James Morrison, however, faces at least another week on the sidelines as he continues to recover from his troublesome hamstring injury and he will not be considered for the weekend game, as Tony Pulis’ side look to move further clear of the relegation zone in the Premier League.
