Gent striker Laurent Depoitre has again been linked with a future move to West Brom.
The Baggies were linked with a move for the 27-year-old Belgian forward in the build-up to the January transfer window, but no move materialised as boss Tony Pulis kept his current crop of strikers at the Hawthorns.
However, it seems the club have remained an interested party with regards to Depoitre, who has followed up his 14-goal haul in his first season with Gent by scoring 13 goals in all competitions so far this term.
Reports claim West Brom officials have invited the player’s agent to watch a game at the Hawthorns in an effort to try and pave the way clear for a deal, possibly in the summer transfer window.
Depoitre, who was on the bench on Tuesday night as Gent’s Champions League dream ended at the last-16 stage against Wolfsburg, will be entering the final year of his contract with the club at the end of the season and could be available for around £8million.
If he is snapped up by West Brom it could put a question mark against the future of either Salomon Rondon or Rickie Lambert, who both have similar attributes to Depoitre.
