Jonas Olsson believes the current West Brom squad is the best he has played with during his eight years at the Hawthorns.
The Albion stalwart recently committed his future to the club for another year and is looking forward to more battles alongside his present team-mates, who he holds in high regard.
Olsson was part of the squad that finished eighth under Steve Clarke in 2012 but the Swede claims that the side assembled by current boss Tony Pulis is more talented, despite Albion sitting in 13th in this season’s Premier League standings.
“We had a really good season with Roy Hodgson and the first season with Steve,” Olsson told the Express & Star.
“It’s always difficult to compare but if you look at how the league has changed since then, all the teams coming up are spending money and have really good squads. I think the league is more competitive now than it was five years ago.
“The squad we have now is better in terms of the depth in the squad.”
