Alex McCarthy stepped in for injured No.1 Wayne Hennessey and blundered during Palace’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.

And that was the former QPR stopper’s first game since mid-September, with Welsh gloveman Hennessey now back and available.
