Sunderland flop Emanuele Giaccherini would love to join Fiorentina, according to the player’s agent.
The midfielder, who scored the opening goal for Italy on Monday night as they toppled Belgium in their first match at Euro 2016, wants to leave England this summer.
The 31-year-old has one year left on his contract with Sunderland and the club are ready to let him go for around £2m.
That has sparked interest from several sides in Italy, including Bologna, Fiorentina and Torino.
And now Giaccherini’s agent, Giulio Marinelli, has revealed his client would love to move to Florence this summer.
“Emanuele would be happy to come to Fiorentina,” Marinelli told Radio Blu.
“But right now he’s only thinking about the Euros and he won’t be taking any decisions on the short term.
“As for the market, there was activity around Giaccherini before the beginning of the Euros. He has only year of contract with Sunderland, so his price could be under €2m.”
