Agent of Manchester United and Chelsea target Marek Hamsik admits ‘anything is possible’ in summer transfer window
Manchester United and Chelsea have been given a boost in their pursuit of Marek Hamsik after his agent revealed that ‘anything is possible’ when it comes to his next move.
The Slovakia forward has been one of the stars of Euro 2016 so far and scored what proved to be the winner in his country’s 2-1 win over Russia.
Napoli are now expecting summer interest in the 28-year-old, who has been an integral member of their first team since 2007.
Since then he has made 319 Serie A appearances, scoring 81 goals and was one third of their famous three-pronged attack which also included Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani.
However, while those two both left the club, Hamsik has so far stayed put although that could be about to change.
His agent, Juraj Venglos, told Pluska: “After the match with Russia, I had a number of phonecalls. I won’t be specific at the moment though, Marek has a contract with Napoli. His value was already high, and it certainly won’t have gone down.
“He was already well-known, it’s not just about these two games he’s played.
“It could be that [he leaves for €35m], it depends on the conditions of Napoli. It could be higher or it could be lower. Or in the end it might be irrelevant [because he could stay at Napoli]. Yes, anything is possible.”
