Marcelo Brozovic’s agent has revealed Chelsea have held talks with Inter Milan over a deal for the midfielder but face competition.
Inter have put the Croatia international up for sale but are reluctant to sell him to one of their Serie A rivals after Juventus registered their interest in the 23-year-old.
Instead, the Italians are hopeful of sending him abroad and may get their wish if Chelsea can match Inter’s valuation of Brozovic, who made 32 appearances and scored four times for the Nerazzurri.
The Blues are not alone in hoping to take advantage of Inter’s desperation to sell as Arsenal have also contacted the club, according to his agent Miroslav Bicanic.
“It’s true, there are many options and we are talking about some big European clubs,” Bicanic told Croatian outlet Index.
“I heard that Chelsea representatives are in Milan and that Arsenal are also prepared to sign him. Inter are pushing to sell to one of these two clubs who are prepared to pay a sum that satisfies all concerned.”
