Newcastle United fans will not need telling again, but they have a real talent on their books.
Academy graduate Adam Armstrong, who is on loan at fellow Championship side Barnsley, scored a brilliant solo goal at the weekend.
The 19-year-old spent 2015/16 on loan at League One Coventry City, scoring 20 goals in 40 appearances, and Magpies fans were keen to see him pull on the black and white shirt regularly this season.
Rafa Benitez’s club clearly rate him highly – Armstrong signed a new four-year deal before moving to South Yorkshire on a temporary basis in August.
On his first appearance for the Tykes, Armstrong netted a worth winner 11 minutes from time in the 2-1 victory at Preston North End.
The move started with the ball in the centre of Barnsley’s half. Minimal danger? You would think so.
Irishman Conor Hourihane hit a superb ball over the top which Armstrong chased and met in the box. With his first touch, he flicked the ball past his marker before coolly finishing into the far corner.
Watch it, above!
