Football fans were not treated to the greatest display of the beautiful game on Thursday evening, as Germany and Poland played out a bore draw in Paris.
The Group C clash was undoubtedly the worst game of Euro 2016 so far, but for Liverpool fans there was a reason to stay interested.
26-year-old German left-back Jonas Hector played the full 90 minutes, capping off a great season at club level which has seen him linked to the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp is said to be keen on bringing him to Anfield this summer as a replacement for Alberto Moreno, and he certainly looked a solid option in the 0-0 draw.
Afforded all the space of the left wing to perform, Hector defended well and showed off his attacking flair too, although none of his 11 crosses were tucked into the back of the net by his profligate teammates.
His performance was watched with interest by Liverpool fans, and they took to social media to share their thoughts on a player who may be turning out on Merseyside come the start of the 2016/17 season.
