Chelsea are reported to have launched a £50million bid to bring former striker Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Lukaku has been heavily linked with a move away from Everton as he wants to win more silverware and play in the Champions League, something that looks unlikely with the Toffees.
Chelsea are unable to offer Champions League football this season but they are sure to be in the mix for the Premier League title under the leadership of new boss Antonio Conte.
Rumours of a bid for Lukaku have been rife throughout the summer, but following the capture of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille, it was though Conte would not take his interest any further.
The Blues boss has also insisted Diego Costa will not be sold this summer, and if that remains the case, a move for Lukaku looks unlikely as it would be impossible to keep all three happy.
Even so that is not stopping reports in the press suggesting a £50million bid is on the verge of going in, and Costa could still leave for Atletico Madrid this summer.
