Hull have been told they will have to pay £3million if they are to have any chance of signing Oxford United forward Kemar Roofe.
The 23-year-old was a revelation for the U’s last season when bagging 18 goals in League One and his form has caught the eye of Tigers boss Steve Bruce.
There will be no shortage of interest in Roofe over the summer and United chairman Darryl Eales has slapped a minimum price tag of £3million on his head.
That figure would not be a problem for Hull, but so far no bids have been made.
“To be fair that’s always been my minimum number for Kemar,” he told the Oxford Mail. “He’s got two more years on his contract and there’s no pressure on Michael to sell anyone.
“If someone comes in with a valuation that matches ours we will think about it, but no-one has.”
