Stoke are reported to have failed with a £20million bid for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini.
The Italy international is highly regarded by the Serie A side but he struggled to force his way into the starting XI ahead of star striker Gonzalo Higuain and mainly had to settle for the bench.
The player’s situation has kicked off reports he could be on the move this summer and reports in Italy now claim that Stoke have failed with a 25 million euros offer.
Manchester United, Wolfsburg, Tottenham and West Ham United have all also been linked with a move, but Stoke have attempted to nip in ahead of their rivals by making a bid.
However, Napoli are reluctant to sell and have knocked it back.
